Both tracks require commitment and produce results. Choose based on how you want to teach.

ESI Track

Educator Support Initiative

Substitute or Regular Educator - school placement

  • Post your availability on the FWS calendar (substitute) or commit to a semester schedule (regular)
  • Teach via Zoom or Google Meets - links managed through the FWS platform
  • Online contract signing weeks before semester start
  • Regular educators: absence penalty funds automatic substitute coverage
  • Separate training and contract for ESI (if teaching courses separately)

Hourly (up to 2 hrs) - Daily rate thereafter

Courses Track

FWS Course Creator

Create a 10-video course and offer tutoring

  • Create 1 course with 10 videos - this is your educator contribution to the cooperative
  • See notifications whenever your course is purchased by a member
  • Mark your availability for tutoring sessions on your educator calendar
  • Members who purchase a monthly subscription can book directly from your availability
  • Earn per course purchase and per tutoring session completed

Requirements

What FWS educators bring

Subject Expertise

A defined subject area you can teach confidently to the age groups served by FWS member institutions.

Course Creation (10 Videos)

All FWS educators produce a 10-video course as their cooperative contribution. Content used by individual and institutional members.

Reliable Tech Setup

Stable internet, camera, and microphone for live Zoom or Google Meets sessions. Video recording capability for course creation.

Availability Commitment

ESI substitutes: consistent calendar availability. Regular educators: semester-long weekly schedule. Course educators: tutoring availability hours.

Contract Agreement

All educators sign FWS online contracts. ESI educators sign separate ESI-specific agreements. Contracts are renewed before each term.
